WIC and BF Peer Supervisor E.O.E.

District Health Department #10 seeks a full-time WIC and BF Peer Supervisor. This position will be based in Manistee, Mason, Oceana, Newaygo or Mecosta County. 

Duties: Supervises WIC, Breastfeeding Peer Counselor and related Maternal Child Health program staff in multiple counties.
Monitors work of assigned staff to ensure accuracy, productivity, and compliance with program policies and regulations. 
Schedules staff in multi-county area insuring adequate service and productivity.
Trains and evaluates staff.
Participates in program planning, development, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, quality improvement, and accreditation.
Provides direct service as needed.
Collaborates and engages with community partners.
Provides direct service as needed.

Requirements: 
Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics or Nursing Required. 
Registered Dietitian and Master’s Degree preferred. 
WIC experience preferred.
Advanced lactation certification (IBCLC, CLS, or CLC) or successful completion of certification within 1 year. 
Minimum of 2 years of coordination/supervisory experience.
Requires strong leadership, communication and critical thinking skills.
Ability to mentor, promote teamwork, resolve conflict and coordinate the work of others.
Promote, protect, and support breastfeeding. 
Reliable transportation.
