Job description:

As the Clinical Nutrition Manager, you will manage the daily operations of nutrition services through direct supervision of a team of Registered Dietitians.  The CNM directs daily operations of nutrition programs and ensures customer and client satisfaction levels are met. May provide direct nutrition care to the population served.

Executes operating standards, implements quality improvements and communicates them to other departments; and collects and reports outcomes. Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local regulations (e.g. Health Dept., HIPAA/Privacy Act, Joint Commission, quality assurance, safety, operations, and personnel). This position is Full-time Requirements Must Be Licensed Registered Dietitian

Experience in hospitals/healthcare is required!
Supports and delivers the highest level of nutrition care to patients to meet the customer’s overall needs.
Calculate nutritional needs, establish goals, and implement medical nutrition therapy for patients based on their overall nutritional status.
Establish effective strategies to implement innovative programs which lead to optimal clinical nutrition and positive financial outcomes.
Comply with regulatory standards – both Federal and State and accrediting agencies adhering to confidentiality, HIPPA regulations, policies, the Joint Commission Standards.
Collaborate with IDT (Interdisciplinary Team) to provide quality nutrition and culinary program.
Review menu cycle for nutrient analysis and diet consistencies
Implement Health & Wellness initiatives.
 Establishes goals and oversees implementation of clinical nutrition care based upon the facility’s medical direction and patient/ resident population.
Hires, leads, directs, coaches, trains, and develops nutrition team members.
Trains and mentor s patient/resident services staff and interns as applicable
Fosters teamwork and establishes effective strategies to implement innovative programs leading to optimal clinical nutrition and financial outcomes.
Monitors competency, productivity, and documentation accuracy of clinical staff
Assigns and directs the workload of the clinical nutrition staff.
Participates in staffing analysis to ensure adequate staffing in collaboration with the VP of Nutrition & Wellness and the Director of Clinical and Wellness Support
Complies with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient/resident rights policies.
Participates in/ Leads patient /resident satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs.
 Qualifications

Must Be Licensed Registered Dietitian
Basic Functional Experience – 3 years of management experience
3 years’ work experience in health care Including hospital.
