Position:  K12 School Dietitian (Year-Round, Full-Time)
Location:  Rochester School District (21 Schools)
Responsibilities: Food allergen management, menu reviews, and planning wellness events for students
Schedule:  Monday- Friday, No Weekends! 
Salary: $65,000-70,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

Manages food allergies and medical conditions, including developing and implementing food allergy protocols, creating special diets for students, and communicating with parents, students and nurses. 
Develop and provide associate training and leads food allergy & program compliance 
Collaborate with chefs in strategic purchasing initiatives, and the technical nutritional review of ingredients, recipes & menus 
Build and implement student centered nutrition education programs in the district schools and for the community
Provides leadership for operations and support teams with media & nutrition communications
Assists in menu planning and recipe and ingredient management in our proprietary menu management software 
Conducts internal audits and monitors district compliance with USDA requirements for school breakfast and lunch programs
Works with the vast number of dietitians within Chartwells K12 to assist in the development in a variety of programs, including sustainability, taste testing, discovery kitchen, mood boost program and much more! 
 
Qualifications:

Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required 
Excellent communication, proactive, and teamwork skills
Possess the vital skills to optimally use Microsoft office applications and nutrient analysis programs
Experience with working in a foodservice environment, K12 school nutrition highly preferred
